The Wright Family Grows Yet Again
A letter from the CEO: Scott D. Packard
I’m excited to share that the Wright Service Corp. family of companies is growing – yet again. Today, one of our subsidiary companies, Wright Tree Service, announced a deal to acquire ArborCare Tree Service, a tree service in Canada based out of Calgary, Alberta, that will operate as Wright Tree Service.
ArborCare Tree Service, established in 1983, provides commercial, residential and utility services throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. We pursued the acquisition of ArborCare because our two companies align strategically and allow our family of companies to continue expanding into the Canadian utility vegetation management market.
The acquisition will commence operations May 24, 2019. Jesus Vetencourt, someone whose leadership has been a valued asset of our companies for the last 12 years and counting, will assume primary leadership duties as the vice president of operations of the company. ArborCare’s previous owner will retire, and ArborCare’s residential and commercial tree side of the business will remain the same with no changes to its infrastructure or operations. However, the utility side of the business will commence operations publicly as Wright Tree Service.
Myself along with the entire leadership team at Wright Service Corp. is certain that we will ensure a successful future for ArborCare, as well as their clients and employees. They have an impressive history in their markets and communities, and we can provide more support and resources from an operational perspective, including fleet capabilities, risk management, marketing, human resources, and more. We bring a lot of manpower and operational intelligence to the ArborCare team and our goal is to continue providing the high quality services that ArborCare has grown to be known for over the last 36 years.
Please join me in welcoming them into the Wright family!
Sincerely,
Scott D. Packard
